چکیده

This paper proposes a practical approach for discovering the network topology within an administrative domain. Two discovery algorithms, network layer discovery algorithm and link layer discovery algorithm, are presented in the paper. Network layer discovery algorithm generates the network layer topology within the domain which displays the relationship among subnets. Because the devices and their interconnections in a subnet can not be realized in network layer topological map, a link layer discovery algorithm is necessary proposed to grasp the details within a subnet. Through these two algorithms, a complete and accurate network topological map within an administrative domain is presented. In the process of generating network topological map, a topological database is provided for information reuse; in consequence, our approach is capable of integrating into the network management system. Finally, a feasibility report is included by demonstrating the topological map generation in the local LAN environment.

A New Approach of Backbone Topology Design Used by Combination of GA and PSO Algorithms

A number of algorithms based on the evolutionary processing have been proposed forcommunication networks backbone such as Genetic Algorithm (GA). However, there has beenlittle work on the SWARM optimization algorithms such as Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) for backbone topology design. In this paper, the performance of PSO on GA isdiscussed and a new algorithm as PSOGA is proposed for the net...

Multi-layer Clustering Topology Design in Densely Deployed Wireless Sensor Network using Evolutionary Algorithms

Due to the resource constraint and dynamic parameters, reducing energy consumption became the most important issues of wireless sensor networks topology design. All proposed hierarchy methods cluster a WSN in different cluster layers in one step of evolutionary algorithm usage with complicated parameters which may lead to reducing efficiency and performance. In fact, in WSNs topology, increasin...

EFFICIENT SIMULATION FOR OPTIMIZATION OF TOPOLOGY, SHAPE AND SIZE OF MODULAR TRUSS STRUCTURES

The prevalent strategy in the topology optimization phase is to select a subset of members existing in an excessively connected truss, called Ground Structure, such that the overall weight or cost is minimized. Although finding a good topology significantly reduces the overall cost, excessive growth of the size of topology space combined with existence of varied types of design variables challe...

A new virtual leader-following consensus protocol to internal and string stability analysis of longitudinal platoon of vehicles with generic network topology under communication and parasitic delays

In this paper, a new virtual leader following consensus protocol is introduced to perform the internal and string stability analysis of longitudinal platoon of vehicles under generic network topology. In all previous studies on multi-agent systems with generic network topology, the control parameters are strictly dependent on eigenvalues of network matrices (adjacency or Laplacian). Since some ...
